7. that lighting be so arranged as to prevent intrusion into the residential <br /> neighborhood to the south, <br /> 8. that final signage plans for a monument-type free-standing sign and appropriate <br /> wall signage be approved by the Economic and Urban Development Department, <br /> and <br /> 9. that final site plans be submitted for review and approval by the Departments of <br /> Economic and Urban Development and Engineering and Infrastructure. <br /> Staff is of the opinion that commercial development on this site is a logical extension of <br /> existing commercial development in the area and supports the petitioner's intention to protect <br /> the residential neighborhood to the south from intrusion. Staff finds the petitioner's proposal <br /> to be acceptable and recommends approval of the proposed rezoning and the planned unit ' <br /> development as submitted. <br /> The Decatur City Plan Commission voted unanimously at its September 7, 2000 meeting to <br /> forward ths rezoning to City Council with recommendation for approval. Minutes of the <br /> meeting are attached. <br />
