"Attachment A" <br /> PUBLIC NOTICE <br /> TO ALL OWNERS AND PERSONS IN CONTROL OF ANY VACANT LOT OR LOT <br /> WITH AN UNOCCUPIED STRUCTURE IN TIiE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS <br /> You are hereby notified that all weeds or other underbrush which have grown to a height <br /> of ten (10) inches or more or allowed to flower are a violation of Chapter 48 Section 8 of the <br /> Decatur City Code. <br /> You are hereby notified in accordance with Section 8 (a) of Chapter 48 of the Decatur <br /> City Code, that should the growth of weeds or other underbrush grow to more than ten (10) <br /> inches in height or be allowed to flower on the vacant lot or a lot with an unoccupied structure <br /> located in Decatur, Illinois, the City of Decatur may cut the weeds or cause the same to be cut <br /> without further notice and the owner, lessee, occupant, agent or person in contirol of the property <br /> sha11 be liable to the City of Decatur for the costs and a lien for the costs may be filed against the <br /> properry. <br /> You are also hereby notified that pursuant to Section 8 of Chapter 48, you sha11 cut, or <br /> cause to be cut, any weeds or underbrush as described herein which are growing or located <br /> between the prolongation of the side lot lines thereof, and between the rear or front lot line <br /> thereof, as the case may be, and the edge of any roadway or a11ey under the jurisdiction or control <br /> of the City and abutting such lot of ground, or part thereof, "roadway" and"a11ey", as used <br /> herein, shall have the meanings ascribed thereto in The Illinois Vehicle Code; provided, <br /> however, that no such owner, lessee, occupant or agent shall be responsible for cutting any weeds <br /> or underbrush on public right-of-way if such are growing or located(1) on ground which has a <br /> slope greater than one to one and a height which exceeds three feet from the bottom of the slope <br /> to the top of the slope, or(2) on ground which is inaccessible to grounds mai.ntenance equipment <br /> customarily used by residential households due to unusual topographical conditions or struct�zres <br /> � erected prior to February 15, 1991. <br /> This public notice shall be fmal to all owner and persons in control of vacant lots and lots <br /> with an unoccupied structure. <br /> Neighborhood Services Division <br /> # 1 Gary K Anderson Plaza <br /> Decatnr,Illinois 62523 <br /> (21'n 4242783 <br />
