Excerpts from Plan Commission Minutes of May 4, 2000 <br /> Cal. No. 00-33 Petition of A. J. KRIEGER, Assistant City Manager, to rezone the <br /> premises generally located east of Illinois Route 48 and north of Garver <br /> Church Road; extended west, from R-1 Single Family Residence District <br /> to M-1 Light Industrial District. <br /> The petitioner, on behalf of the City of Decatur, proposes to rezone a 12.18-acre tract from R-l, <br /> Single Family Residence, to M-1, Light Industrial. This property is illustrated on the Future Land <br /> Use Map, a component of the Decatur comprehensive plan, as "Industrial." <br /> This parcel was recently annexed into the City as an industrial property. Annexed lands are <br /> automatically zoned R-1. <br /> Staff recommends approval of the petition as presented. Mr. Krieger stated that a <br /> non-confornung use needed to be addressed with this petition. <br /> There were no objectors present. <br /> It was moved and seconded (Smith/Setina) to forward Cal. No. 00-33 to City Council with <br /> recommendation for approval. Motion carried unanimously. <br />
