Miller, AICP, Planner k� 9'' <br /> • SUBJECT: Ordinance Amending Zoning Ordinance, Section XXIII, Term of Chairman <br /> The purpose of the amendment is to establish a maximum term as Chairman for the Zoning Board <br /> of Appeals. Currently the Chairman serves for as long as his or her remaining term on the Board; <br /> this term could be five years or more. The Zoning Board of Appeals is ruled by the provisions of <br /> the Zoning Ordinance; the Board has no other by-laws. The Board wished the amendment to <br /> occur as soon as possible as it is time to elect a new chairman. <br /> The Zoning Board of Appeals voted unanimously for the amendment. <br /> In February, the Plan Commission voted unanimously to recommend approval to the City <br /> Council; the minutes are attached. <br />
