, � � <br /> Excerpts from City Plan Commission Meeting Minutes of February 3, 2000 <br /> Ca1. No. 00-08 Petition of CECIL A. COLLINS, JR., DIRECTOR OF COMMUIVITY <br /> DEVELOPMENT, PLANNING AND TRANSIT, to amend the Zoning <br /> Ordinance (Ordinance#3512, Section XXIII)to establish the maximum <br /> term of the Chairperson of the Zoning Board of Appeals at two (2) <br /> years of service. <br /> Mr. Jack Myatt, Member of the Zoning Board of Appeals, was present and spoke for the petition. <br /> Mr. Myatt stated that the Zoning Board does not have any guidelines for replacing a chairperson. <br /> A request is being made to amend the Zoning Ordinance to limit the term of a chairperson to two <br /> years. Mr. Myatt stated that this request is unanimous from the Zoning Board. <br /> Ms. Miller stated that the Zoning Board has no by-laws. The terms of board members are for five <br /> years and the Board would like to relax that to a shorter term. <br /> It was moved and seconded (Anderson/Jacobs)to forward Cal. No. 00-08 to City Council with <br /> recommendation for approval. Motion carried unanimously. <br />
