r � <br /> Section 2. That Chapter 10 of the City Code of the City of Decatur, Illinois, be, and the <br /> same is hereby, modified and amended, by amending the current Section 8 thereof, and adding a <br /> new Section 9 thereto, so that said Sections 8 and 9 shall provide as follows: <br /> 8. DEPUTY CITY MANAGER. T'here is hereby created the office of <br /> Deputy City Manager, the occupant whereof shall be appointed, and may be <br /> removed, by the City Manager at will. The Deputy City Manager shall have such <br /> duties and responsibilities, and direct and administer such departments and <br /> divisions, as are assigned by the City Manager, and shall be the appointing officer <br /> of the occupants of all classified positions in divisions assigned to said Officer <br /> and not otherwise assigned to any departrnent, and may make reasonable rules, <br /> regulations and directives not in conflict with law or ordinance to govern and <br /> administer the activities and carry out the duties and responsibilities thereof, <br /> subject to the direction and control of the City Manager. <br /> 9. ASSISTANT CITY MANAGERS. There is hereby created the office <br /> of Assistant City Manager, the occupants whereof shall be appointed, and may be <br /> removed, by the City Manager at will. The Assistant City Managers shall have <br /> such duties and responsibilities, and direct and administer such departments, as <br /> are assigned by the City Manager and this Code. <br /> Section 3. That Chapter 11 of the City Code of the City of Decatur, Illinois, be, and the <br /> same is hereby, modified and amended, so that said Chapter 11 as so modified and amended shall <br /> provide as set out on Exhibit A attached hereto and hereby made a part hereof. <br /> Section 4. That Sections 2 and 3 of Chapter 12 of the City Code of the City of Decatur, <br /> Illinois, be, and the same is hereby, modified and amended, so that said Sections 2 and 3, as so <br /> modified and amended, shall provide as follows: <br /> 2. DIRECTOR. There is hereby created the office of Director of <br /> Management Services, the occupant whereof shall be appointed, and may be <br /> removed, by the City Manager at will. The Director shall report to the Deputy <br /> City Manager. <br /> 3. APPOINTMENTS AND RULES. The Deputy City Manager shall be <br /> the appointing officer of the occupants of a11 classified positions assigned to said <br /> Department and may make reasonable rules, regulations and directives not in <br /> conflict with law or ordinance to govern and administer the activities and carry <br /> out the duties and responsibilities thereof, subject to the direction and control of <br /> the City Manager. <br />
