� � . <br /> , �„ <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 99-123 <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE <br /> - CHAPTER 34 - ' <br /> - TRAFFIC - <br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That Section 11 of Chapter 34 of the City Code of the City of Decatur, Illinois, <br /> be, and the same is hereby, modified and amended, so that said Section 11, as so modified and <br /> amended, shall provide as follows: <br /> 11. WINTER PARKING RESTRICTIONS. <br /> A. EMERGENCY SNOW ROUTES. <br /> l. The City Manager or his authorized designee may declare a snow emergency <br /> when it is determined in the opinion of the declarer of the emergency that new snow has <br /> accumulated in, on or along any emergency snow route in the City to a depth of two or more <br /> inches, and further to declare such emergency to be ended when it is reasonably deemed the same <br /> has exhausted its purpose. <br /> 2. The declaration of a snow emergency shall be in writing signed by the declared <br /> and shall be endorsed with the time and date thereof along with a statement of the manner,means <br /> and extent the same was, or was attempted to be communicated to the media and the public, and <br /> which shall be filed as soon as practicable with the City Clerk who is hereby authorized and <br /> directed to receive and preserve the same for public inspection for a period of time not less than <br /> two years, and by the same manner and method the ending of such emergency shall be declared. <br />
