said Agreement by proper resolution, and shall continue thereafter for an indefinite term, until <br /> such time as the City hires a City Manager to replace the prior City Manager, and said individual <br /> is lawfully qualified to act as City Manager pursuant to the terms of � 5-3-7 of the Illinois I! <br /> Municipal Code (65 ILCS 5/5-3-7 (1994)), as such provision exists currently, or may be �I, <br /> amended hereafter, subject to the rights of the parties to terminate this Agreement as is more II <br /> particularly provided in � 15 of this Agreement. After this period, Employee shall return to the <br /> position of Assistant City Manager. <br /> 2. EMPLOYEE'S DUTIES. During the period of employment described herein, <br /> Employee shall perform the duties and possess the responsibilities of City Manager as set forth <br /> within the applicable statues of the State of Illinois, and more specifically � 5-3-7 of the Illinois <br /> Municipal Code (65 ILCS 5/5-3-7 (1994)), as said provision now exists, or may be amended <br /> hereafter, and all ordinances lawfully enacted pursuant thereto, and such duties and <br /> responsibilities as the City Council of the City may lawfully assign to Employee. <br /> 3. OTHER EMPLOYMENT. Employee shall devote all of her time, attention, <br /> knowledge, and skills solely to the interest of the City, and the City shall be entitled to all of the <br /> benefits arising from or incident to all work, services, and advice of Employee. <br /> 4. OATH AND BOND. Employee agrees to provide an oath and provide a bond, <br /> with surety, as required by 5 5-3-7 of the Illinois Municipal Code(65 ILCS 5/5-3-7 (1994)). <br /> 5. HOURS OF WORK. The parties realize that the duties and responsibilities of the <br /> acting City Manager require the person holding such position to wark weekends, evenings, and ' <br /> other irregular hours at locations including the administrative offices of the City, as well as I <br /> elsewhere, during regular business hours, and at hours beyond regular working hours.
