parties further realize that such work during at irregular hours and at other locations is of equal importance to the normal daily duties and responsibilities of the acting City Manager which would be performed at the administrative offices of the City. Therefore, in order to encourage Employee to undertake and perform such work at hours which might be considered irregular, and to provide Employee with a reasonable limitation to the total number of hours which may be required of her in any given week, it is understood and agreed that Employee shall work the hours necessary in order for her to fulfill the requirements and responsibilities of the position of City Manager, which hours shall not be less than forty(40)per week. 6. EMPLOYEE'S SALARY. Employee shall receive a salary at an annual rate of Ninety-Three Thousand Dollars ($93,000.00) for the period commencing September 20, 1999, and such salary shall be payable in bi-weekly installments as per the pay plan generally applicable to all City employees. Such payments shall be subject to normal and customary withholding, and Employee hereby irrevocably consents to the reporting of such payxnents to federal and state taxing authorities, and further consents to the withholding of amounts normally and customarily withheld which funds are thereby authorized to be paid to lawful federal and state taxing authorities. The payment of the salary described herein shall continue from the date set forth until such time as this Agreement is terminated as provided for in � 15 hereof. 7. VACATION LEAVE. Employee shall remain entitled to the same number of days of paid vacation leave during the term of this Agreement as Employee possesses under the current policies and plans of the City of Decatur. Therefore, Employee's vacation benefits shall not be altered, modified, or changed from the benefits which she possesses currently as an employee of the City. 3
