Miller, AICP, Planner�L��IY`-� <br /> SUBJECT: Annexation of Surrounded Areas on North Taylor Avenue <br /> Final action to annex two separate parcels of land wluch are surrounded by the corporate limits is <br /> scheduled for action(Monday, August 30, 1999). The appropriate ordinance to annex these <br /> parcels was received and placed on file by the City Council on Monday, August 16, 1999. <br /> Property owners have been notified of the proposed annexation action. <br /> The following information is relative to the areas in question: <br /> Lot One (1) of Berry Addition(3820 North Taylar Avenue) is occupied by a <br /> single family dwelling;Lot Four(4) of Berry Addition(3880 North Taylor <br /> Avenue) is a vacant lot adjacent to 3860 North Taylor Avenue. <br /> City water is available and located adjacent to the tracts at Taylor Avenue. <br /> The closest sewer(Sanitary District Sewer)is located approximately 1000 <br /> feet to the northeast and is available. <br /> Additional annual revenue of approximately $675 would become available <br /> from the combined total real estate, motor fuel and state income t�es from <br /> the property at 3820 North Taylor Avenue. <br /> The total area of both parcels is 1.073 acres. The surrounding area is zoned R-1; when annexed <br /> the area will come into the city as R-1 Single Family Residence District. <br /> In keeping with city policy to annex surrounded areas and thereby create a more logical and <br /> consistent corporate boundary, staff recommends approval of the annexation as presented. <br />
