Miller, AICP, Planner �� SUBJECT: Annexation of Surrounded Areas on North Neely Avenue Final action to annex a tract of land which is surrounded by the corporate limits is scheduled for action(Monday, August 30, 1999). The appropriate ordinance to annex this tract was received and placed on file by the City Council on Monday, August 16, 1999. Property owners have been notified of the proposed annexation action. The following information is relative to the areas in question: The total area of the tract is 15.4 acres and contains 20 single family dwellings. City water is located at Underwood Court and is readily available to those in Spaugh's Addition; water is not readily available to those properties north of Spaugh's Addition. Currently, sanitary sewer is not available. Additional annual revenue of approximately $9480 would become available from the combined total real estate, motor fuel and state income taxes. The total area of both parcels is 15.3 acres. The surrounding area is zoned R-1; when annexed the area will come into the city as R-1 Single Family Residence District. In keeping with city policy to annex surrounded areas and thereby create a more logical and consistent corporate boundary, staff recommends approval of the annexation as presented.
