Miller, AICP, Planner�� <br /> SUBJECT: Annexation of Surrounded Areas on North Neely Avenue <br /> A tract of land located North of Mound Road on North Neely Avenue (3800-4200) is scheduled <br /> for annexation consideration by the City Council. The tract contains less than 60 acres and is <br /> entirely surrounded by the corporate limits. The appropriate ordinance will be received on <br /> Monday, August 16, 1999, with final action being taken on Monday, August 30, 1999. <br /> The tract is described as follows: <br /> Lots Two (2) and Three (3) of Ryherd lst Addition <br /> Lots Nineteen(19), Twenty(20), Twenty-one (21), Twenty-two (22) and the <br /> South 135 feet of Lot Twenty-three (23), of Virginia 3rd Subdivision <br /> The North 38.9 feet of Lot One, Lots Two (2), Three(3), Four(4), Five (5) <br /> and Six(6) of Spaugh's 1 st Addition <br /> The total area of the tract is 15.4 acres and contains 20 single family dweilings. Most of the <br /> surrounding area is zoned R-1; when annexed the area will come into the city as R-1 Single <br /> Family Residence District. <br /> The owners of these properties will be notified prior to final action being taken on August 30, <br /> 1999. (Letters were mailed on 7uly 27, 1999.) <br /> In keeping with policy to annex surrounded areas and thereby create a more logical and consistent <br /> corporate boundary, staff recommends approval of the annexation as presented. <br />
