Mrs. Morthland stated that provisions of the Special Use Permit are enforceable. Per the City il <br /> Code, there are remedies if the streets are a mess. <br /> Mr. Forgey presented the recommendation of staff: <br /> This is a petition for a special use permit to allow the development of a 29-acre parcel located <br /> between North 7asper Street and the Illinois Central Railroad tracks. The property is already <br /> zoned M-2, the City's most intensive industrial zoning category. The City's Municipal Service <br /> facility is located across Jasper Street from this property. <br /> An operation of this type is sure to create noise and dust, and it is for that reason that the M-2 <br /> zoning category exists. Staff therefore recommends approval of this application. <br /> It was moved and seconded (Schiller/Shampine) to forward Cal. No. 98-70 to City Council with <br /> recommendation for approval. Motion carried unanimously. <br />
