,a . <br /> (B) Vehicles displaying valid Downtown Resident Parking Permits I <br /> may park at any unrestricted, City-controlled metered or non-metered ' <br /> parking garage, surface parking lot, or street parking space designated "3 ' <br /> Hour Limit" or "10 Hour Limit" for up to a maximum of 72 consecutive ' <br /> hours, (or longer, upon prior written authorization by the Director of <br /> Public Works or his designee). <br /> Section 3. That said Chapter 34 of the City Code be, and the same is hereby, further <br /> amended and modified at Section 68 thereof, so that said Section 68, as amended, shall provide <br /> as follows: <br /> 68. REVOCATION OF PERMIT. Any parking permit authorized <br /> under the provisions of this Chapter may be revoked by the City Manager <br /> at any time. , <br /> Section 4. That said Chapter 34 of the City Code be, and the same is hereby, further <br /> amended and modified at Section 67 thereof, so that said Section 67, as amended, shall provide <br /> as follows: <br /> 67. NATURE OF PERMIT. The issuance of a parking permit <br /> authorized under the provisions of this Chapter shall constitute a license to <br /> use vacant space and neither the City nor any officer or employee thereof <br /> shall be liable for any loss, damage or injury growing out of or connected <br /> with the use of said space, or to such vehicle or its contents, or for the loss <br /> or theft thereof. <br /> Section 5. That any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any of the provisions of <br /> this Ordinance shall, upon conviction, be fined not less than Two Dollars ($2.00) nor more than <br /> Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00) for each offense. <br /> Section 6. That the provisions of all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the <br /> provisions of this ordinance insofar as the same are in conflict with said provisions be, and the <br /> same are hereby, repealed. <br /> Section 7. That this Ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and effect as of <br /> November 1, 1997. <br />
