, �, ' . <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 97-56 <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE <br /> - CHAPTER 34 - <br /> - TRAFFIC - <br /> - MISCELLANEOUS CHANGES - <br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That said Chapter 34 of the City Code be, and the same is hereby, further amended <br /> and modified at Sections 3, 29, 35, 58, 59 and '79 thereof, so that said Sections 3, 29, 35, 58, 59 and 79, <br /> as amended, shall provide as follows: <br /> 3. OFFICERS. The Commission shall select a Chairman from the citizen <br /> members to preside, and a Vice-Chairman to act in the absence of the Chairman. <br /> The Director of Public Warks,.or his or her designee, shall be Secretary of the <br /> Commission. <br /> 29. IMPROPER PARKING. No person shall stand or park a vehicle in a <br /> roadway in any other manner than parallel with the edge of the roadway, headed <br /> in the direction of traffic, and with the curbside wheels of the vehicle within <br /> twelve (12) inches of the edge of the regularly established curb line, except that <br /> upon those streets which have been marked or signed for angle parking, vehicles <br /> shall be parked at the angle to the curb indicated by such marks or signs. Where <br /> parking spaces are delineated by painted lines on the pavement, it shall be <br /> unlawful to stand or park a vehicle other than entirely within the parking space so <br /> delineated. <br /> 35. ABANDONING VEHICLE ON PROPERTY OF ANOTHER: No <br /> person shall stand, park, leave or abandon any vehicle on the property of another <br /> without the consent of the owner of said property. <br />
