Chapter 60 <br /> Iterms of Sections 9 and� 12 of this Chapter, and upon approval by the City Manager, provided <br /> no public hearing needs to be held for renewal or transfer of a license. <br /> IB. A license for a taxicab t-a�-sab may be transferred from one cab to another belonging <br /> to the same owner by making application therefor upon forms to be provided by the Finance <br /> Department and payment of a transfer fee of Three Dollars($3.00). <br /> Il. REVOCr4TION OR SUSPENSION OF TAJIQ LICENSES Tari licenses may be <br /> revoked or suspended by the City Manager for violation of any of the provisions of this Chapter <br /> either on the part of the owner of said taxicab or his employees For every suspension or <br /> revocation of a taxi license, the City Manager shall issue a written notice, which shall be mailed <br /> via first class mail to the last knawn address of the awner, stating brie,f ly the basis,f'or the <br /> suspension or revocation, the effective date of the suspension or revocation, the duration of the <br /> suspension or revocation, and a notice, stating that, upon written request, filed with the City <br /> Clerk within ten (10) days of the date of the notice of suspension or revocation, for any <br /> suspension or revocation of taaci license exceedi»g three days duration, said suspension or <br /> revocation shall be appealable to the City Council. <br /> �-�- 12. STANDARDS FOR VEHICLES. No vehicle shall be licensed until it has been <br /> examined at an of�'icial testing station licensed by the State of Illinois and a certificate of safety <br /> issued thereon and said vehicle is clean, of good appearance, well painted, equipped with a <br /> taxi-meter and so constructed that the occupants can be plainly seen from the outside of said <br /> vehicle at all times. Each such vehicle shall be so tested semi-annually and a report of such test <br /> shall be filed in the Finance Department. After any accident involving a taxicab, the Chief of <br /> Police may require that said taxicab again be tested at such official testing station. The City <br /> Manager upon recommendation of the Chief of Police may revoke or suspend the license of any <br />
