Section 1.Definitions <br /> City shall mean the current incorp�rated boundary of City ot' Decatur as well as any annexed <br /> property during the term ol�the contract. <br /> Contractor shall mean Midw�st Fibcr, Inc. of Decatur. <br /> Contraet Manager shall mean City official in charge of' City's Single Stream Recyclinb <br /> program as identified in other parts of this contract. This inforrnation will be updated, should <br /> any changes occur. <br /> Data Sharing shall mean the collection, analysis and dissemination of information regarding the <br /> processing and marketing of recyclable material as defined in other parts of this agreement. <br /> Facility shall mean all contiguous land, structures and improvements on the land used for the <br /> storage and processing of material collected through the Single-Stream Recycling Program. <br /> Glass shall mean glass (clear, brown and green)jars, bottles and containers. No window glass, <br /> dinner ware or ceramics. <br /> Hauler shall mean any person, firm or corporation licensed by the City to collect the recyclable <br /> materials at the curb within the corporate limits of the City. <br /> Metals shall mean Aluminum cans trays and Foils, Steel Cans and Tin/Bi-Metal Cans. <br /> Plasties shall mean plastic bottles,containers and packages made from various resins <br /> including PETE, HDPE, PVC, LDPE, PP, PS and other plastics, codes #1 though #7, Plastics <br /> will exclude construction and automobile products. <br /> Paper shall mean Office, Computer, Note books, paperback books and gift wrap paper, <br /> Magazines, Catalogs, 1'elephone books, Chip Board (like cereal boxes, gift boxes etc). <br /> newspaper,carrier stock (like soda can carryin�case), Junk Mail. <br /> Reeyele shall mean process the used and discarded object�/materials into objects /materials that <br /> may be reused for ultimate consurnption and manufacturing and/or remarketed for value. <br /> Recyclablc Materials shall mean material that has been recovered or diverted from the <br /> nonhazardous solid waste stream for purpose of reuse, recyclin6 or reclamation and a substantial <br /> portion of which is consistently used in the manufacture oi' products, which may othenvise bc <br /> produced using raw or virgin materials. <br /> Res�duals shall mean mater�al other than rec clable mater�als. <br /> Y <br /> RFID shall mean Radio-Fre uenc identification that allows the Cit to track artici ation rate <br /> 9 Y Y P P <br /> of each household. <br /> RTF shall mean Recycling Transfer Facility that allows unloading of recyclable materials, <br /> collected through the City's curbside sin�le stream recyclinb program, when the SSMRF is not <br /> located in the immediate area. <br /> Single-Stream Material Recovery Facility (SSMRF) shall mean a facility where recyclable <br /> materials are received single stream, sorted and processed or prepared for bulk shipment to a <br /> manufacturer for use as a raw material. <br /> Single-Stream Reeycling CoUection shall mean municipal curbside collection of recyclable <br /> materials, where as materials are collected, and combined togetherlcommingled I'or <br /> transportation to the RTr/SSMRF. <br /> � <br />
