Section Z.Accepted materials under City's Single Stream Recycling Program Plastics shall includc plastic bottles, containers and packages made from various resins including PETE, HDPE, PVC, LDPE, PN, PS and other plastics, codes #1 through �7. Metals shall include Aluminum beverabe cans (like household beverage cans made of aluminum); "I'in, Steel, and Bi-Metal containers( like f'ood, beverage, nonfood and aerosol cans made of mixed metal, such as tin and steel). Paper shall include old newspaper (ONP), advertising supplemcnts and other paper grades as delivered to local subscribers of newspaper distributed in the area; magazines, junk mail, paperboard and telephone directories; paper from offices such as computer paper, sorted white ledger,copier paper and office stationary. Cardboard shall not include waxed cardboard Glass: Includes household glass containers, bottles and jars, including amber, flint, green, mixed and/or crushed glass. Under the City's Single-Stream Recyclinb Program, the above materials will be collected and must be processed, marketed, and sold, Plcase note that the City will not require the customers to flatten any recyclables. In addition, plastic bags, labcls, lids, no�a.les and metal neck rings may also be present in the recyclabie materials delivered to the processing facility. Section 3.Commencement and Length of the Contract Due to overhauling change ot' the existing refuse and recycling system in the City, the new system is subject ta a review and an approval by the City Council. 6 months from the start date. Subject to approval by the Council, the term oi' this contract shall be for iivc (5} years commencing April 1 20 t 1 and expiring on March 31 of 2016. Section 4.Location of the facility Since the SSNIRF is not located within the City limits, the City agrees to direct all the recyclable materials collected through the City's Single Slream Recycling Program to the Contractor's RTF located in Decatur, Illinois. Contractor shall provide the address of the R"fF at the start of the program.
