Executive Summary <br /> Keep Decatur/Macon County Beautiful has recently become a partner in a larger <br /> community group,the Decatur/Macon County Environmental Project Committee. This <br /> group shares Keep Decatur/Macon County Beautiful goals and has enhanced the ability <br /> of the group to leverage dollars and program success. <br /> Working together, we will design a yearlong"Operation Sparkle& Shine"plan. This <br /> plan will address litter reduction, clean-ups,beautification, streetscape activity, adopt-a- <br /> street and youth projects such as the senior-persons with disability leaf raking project. <br /> We propose the Keep Illinois Beautiful funds to be used for a youth/senior initiative as <br /> part of"Operation Sparkle & Shine." Youth and seniors , a true intergenerational project, <br /> will be organized to address each of the planning areas. Contacts will be signed for the <br /> youth/seniors to fulfill specific project and maintenance goals throughout the year. <br />
