• <br /> FORWARD <br /> "Consequence Management"response involves ineasures to alleviate the damage, loss,hardship, <br /> or suffering caused by horrific events. It includes measures to protect public health and safety, ', <br /> restore essential government services, and provide emergency relief to governments, businesses, , <br /> and individuals effected by the consequences of terrorisin. Consequence Management is <br /> implemented under the primary jurisdicrion of the Illinois Emergency Management Agency ' <br /> (IEMA) and the affected local government. � <br /> This Terrorism Consequence Management Plan is intended for use by all persons who have <br /> occasion to respond to a terrorism incident.This plan should be used as a guide for emergency <br /> response personnel to protect themselves and the general public, as well as identifying the proper <br /> agencies to contact to get assistance. <br /> Since terrorisin can occur in many different forms, additional safety precautions inay be <br /> necessazy. <br /> In all incidents involving chemical,biological, incendiary, explosive, or radiological materials, <br /> the Macon County Emergency Services Disaster Agency(ESDA) should be notified without <br /> delay. This agency has been designated by Illinois Law(PA 84-852) as the lead emergency and <br /> • disaster planning and coordinating agency for Decatur and Macon County. <br /> • Annex V:Terrorism:Consequence Management Plan <br /> -il- <br />
