, , , <br /> INTERGOVERNMENTAL COOPER.ATION AGREEMENT <br /> Between City of Decatur, Illinois, <br /> and Decatur Civic Center Authority <br /> for operation of certain City park- <br /> ing garages <br /> THIS AGREEMENT is between the CITY OF DECATUR, a municipal <br /> corporation organized under the laws of the State of Illinois <br /> ( "City" ) , and the DECATUR METROPOLITAN EXPOSITION, AUDITORIUM AND <br /> OFFICE BUILDING AUTHORITY, a unit of local government organized <br /> under the laws of the State of Illinois ( "Authority" ) . <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Article VII, Section 10 of the 1970 <br /> Constitution of the State of Illinois, and, the Illinois Intergov- <br /> ernmental Cooperation Act (5 ILCS 200�1 ) , units of local government <br /> in the State of Illinois may contract between themselves to obtain <br /> or share services and to exercise or combine functions which either <br /> of the units of local government are authorized by law to perform; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the City and Authority desire to enter into this <br /> Agreement for the Authority to furnish personnel and supervision <br /> for certain city off-street motor vehicle parking facilities <br /> located within the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, this Agreement is to define the duties and obliga- <br /> tions of the parties hereto in regard to such operation, but this <br /> Agreement is not to supersede any Intergovernmental Agreement <br /> heretofore entered into between such parties . <br />
