Recvclin� Collection Services: Those services to be performed by Contractor as follows: � <br /> 1. The collection of recyclable materials from locations specifically designated by the parties; and <br /> 2. Processing and marketing of the recyclable materials. <br /> Recycling Containers: Uniform containers similar to the red containers, 18 gallon capacity, as <br /> approved by the City, to be used for storage of recyclable materials by the residents of dwellings. <br /> Recyclin� Coordinator: Person appointed by the City from tune to time as Recycling <br /> Coordinator: In the absence of the Recycling Coordinator, the Director of Community <br /> Development shall act as Recycling Coordinator, and in the absence of both the Recycling <br /> Coordinator and the Director of Community Development, the Assistant City Manager shall act <br /> as Recycling Coordinator. <br /> Residential: Premises occupied by six or fewer living units. Routes predominantly serving <br /> residential premises. Areas predominantly consisting of residenrial premises. <br /> II. COMMENCEMENT, TERM <br /> 2.1 The initial term of this agreement shall be for one year commencing in October 1, 1999 <br /> and expiring at midnight September 30, 2000; unless terminated earlier as herein provided or <br /> terminated as provided in Section XII. <br /> , <br /> 2.2 The City may, at is sole discretion, extend this agreement four(4)times, for a period of <br /> one ear each time. The Ci must no ' the Contractor, in writing, not less than thirty (30) days <br /> y �v � <br /> prior to the termination of the initial term of this agreement, or subsequent extension thereo� in <br /> order to exercise its rights hereunder. <br /> III. COLLECTION, FREQLTENCY, DISTRICT, COLLECTION <br /> POINT, RECYCLING CONTAINERS OWNERSHIP, ALTERNATE <br /> COLLECTION POINTS, PLASTICS <br /> 3.1 Contractor shall be the exclusive recycling collector from every dwelling within the City <br /> limits of Decatur. Contractor shall be responsible for collecting from dwellings in each collection <br /> route all recyclable materials which have been placed at the collection point,whether or not in <br /> recycling containers, during the collection hours on the designated day for the collection route, <br /> provided that Contractor shall not be required to collect recyclable materials not clearly marked <br /> for collection. <br /> 3 <br />
