thereof under the manufacturer's warranty when a replacement recycli,zg container is made <br /> necessary due to a cause which is, or reasonably could be, covered by such warranty. If a new <br /> recycling container is obtained under such warranry no charge shall be made therefore to the City <br /> or any resident of a dwelling. Contractor shall provide a list of all residents receiving replacement <br /> containers to the Recycling Coordinator every month. The list shall identify resident by name, <br /> address and phone number. <br /> 3.11 There shall be no limit for the quantity of recyclables that a household may place at the <br /> curb for collection. Residents have the right to set out other containers that are properly <br /> prepazed. Residents may also place recyclables that do not fit directly into the bin(s) directly <br /> adjacent to the bin(s)for collection provided that such materials have been properly prepared. <br /> Recyclables shall be collected regardless of the availability of markets for one or more of the <br /> recyclables. <br /> 3.12 Contractor shall be responsible for returning all containers to the general location at which <br /> they were found. Containers may not be placed in the middle of driveways, in driveway aprons, <br /> or neaz the curb in such a manner that blocks sidewalks, results in their falling into the street, or ' <br /> being hit by a vehicle. � <br /> 3.13 The Conuactor shall handle all containers with reasonable care to avoid damage and <br /> spilla.ge. Any contents spilled or items broken by collection crews onto the ground or streets shall <br /> be immediately cleaned up. In order to clean up, a broom and shovel shall be required on each � <br /> vehicle. The Contractor shall not be responsible for collecting or cleaning recyclables that have <br /> blown, fallen, or been scattered before collection. } <br /> 3.14 If Conuactor deternunes that the collection of recyclable materials in a collection district <br /> will not be completed on the district collection day, Contractor shall notify the Recycling <br /> Coordinator by 4:00 PM on that day and request an extension of the collection hours. Contractor <br /> shall inform the Recycling Coordinator of the areas in that collection district not completed, the <br /> reason for non-completion, and the expected time of completion. The Recycling Coordinator, in <br /> his or her sole discretion, shall grant or deny the extension. The granting of an extension will not <br /> be unreasonably withheld by the Recycling Coordinator. If denied, the collection of recyclable <br /> materials in that collection district shal�be completed the following day within the collection <br /> hours. If granted the collection of recyclable materials in that collection district shall be <br /> completed within the extended hours. <br /> IV. OFFICE, MISSED COLLECTIONS, COMPLAINTS, SEVERE <br /> WEATHER, HOLIDAYS <br /> 4.1 Contractor shall establish and maintain an office which may be contacted directly by the <br /> public and City personnel with inquires, complaints, andlor instructions. The office shall be <br /> equipped with sufficient telephones and have staff in charge during normal business hours <br /> 5 <br />
