1.4 CONTACT PERSONS <br /> The persons to whom notices shall be addressed are: <br /> CITY: Paul McChancy, Mass Transit Administrator <br /> CONSULTANT: Lawrence J. Strange, Technical Vice President �� <br /> 2.0 TERM OF SERVICE I <br /> This agreement shall become and be effective as of September 18, 2000, and shall continue in <br /> effect until completion of the study, or until September 18, 2001, whichever is first. The services <br /> of the CONSULTANT shall commence upon execution of this Agreement and shall be <br /> undertaken and completed by September 18, 2001. <br /> 3.0 SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> The CONSULTANT and its subcontractors shall perform services as described in Attachment A: <br /> Scope of Services. <br /> The CONSULTANT shall have the responsibility to supply all services and details required to <br /> provide a complete service to the CITY, even though such details may not be specifically <br /> mentioned in the specifications or other data concerning this study. <br /> 4.0 PAYMENT FOR SERVICES <br /> 4.1 CONTRACT SUM <br /> The CITY shall pay the CONSULTANT for services performed or furnished on the basis <br /> set forth in"Attachment B". The total amount of compensation to be paid by the CITY <br /> to the CONSULTANT shall not exceed $59,976.00 without the written permission of the <br /> CITY. This amount is a fixed fee/contract sum amount which includes all items of labor, <br /> time, travel, materials, equipment, indirect costs, and other costs necessary to fully <br /> complete the study. Allowable costs shall include the following: <br /> Personnel-Regular employees, including subcontractors, of the CONSULTANT within <br /> those classifications specified in the CONSULTANT's Proposal shall be assigned to take <br /> charge of the performance of services under this Agreement to the extent required to <br /> ensure that the work is properly completed, and additional employees shall be assigned as <br /> required in the performance of this Agreement. Payment for services shall be based on <br /> actual hours of.service at the rates set forth in Attachment B, along with allowable <br /> expenses, overhead, and other fees as defined below. <br /> Travel Expenses and Subsistence-The CONSULTANT shall be paid actual travel <br /> costs, subsistence, and lodging costs where such costs are directly related tot he <br /> performance of this Agreement. <br /> Decatur Public Transit System <br /> Transit Planning Study 2 <br />
