° .
Page 2
The receipt of one bid for this a.nnual project is considered acceptable given the historic
experience of limited interest by contractors. This is generally attributed to the type and the
relative value of the work. This work is necessary, and the project should proceed to ensure this
work is completed in advance of this year's planned overlay program. Dunn Company has done
this work in past years to the satisfaction of City staff.
Funding for this project will be from the City's General Capital Improvements Fund.
It is recommended by staff that the Ciiy Council approve the attached resolution awarding
the contract for the Base Failure Program, City Project No. 2000-06, to Dunn Company as the
lowest responsive, responsible bidder in the amount of $75,814.50 and that the Mayor be
authorized to execute the contract.
City staff will be in attendance at the City Council meeting to answer questions that the
Council members may have.
attach.: 2
cc: Bobby Davidson, Engineering Technicians Supervisor
 Phillip Wilhelm, Municipal Services Manager
Jim Schwarz, Dunn Company
