� , <br /> 4. Rides shall be scheduled a day in advance to facilitate shared riding and to assist in <br /> scheduling and dispatching. <br /> 5. The Cab Company shall collect a cash fare of seventy-five cents ($0.75) from each <br /> eligible rider and seventy-five cents ($0.75) from each escort accompanying an eligible <br /> Program participant. Personal Caze Attendants shall ride for free. The fares collected are <br /> Program revenues and shall be remitted to the City at the end of each month. <br /> 6. The driver shall make certain that the rider has completed the "Cab Ride Form", or, if <br /> necessary, shall assist the rider in doing so, whereupon the driver shall complete his <br /> portion of the form at the end of the trip. <br /> 7. The "Cab Ride Form" shall be signed by both the cab driver and the rider and retained <br /> by the Cab Company, with a copy to be forwazded to the City at the end of each month. <br /> 8. The City shall reimburse the Cab Company for transportation services based upon the <br /> expenses verified by the "Cab Ride Forms". <br /> B. Operational Requirements: <br /> 1. The Cab Company shall operate vehicles for this Program from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. <br /> Monday through Friday, and from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, and shall at all <br /> times have sufficient vehicles and personnel available to meet the demand for service. <br /> Service shall only be provided on the days that the Decatur Public Transit System <br /> operates. <br /> 2. Vehicles used in the Program shall be conventional4-door taxi-cab sedans, minivans, <br /> or vans, licensed and equipped according to applicable City codes on taxi-cabs and shall <br /> at all times be kept in clean and comfortable condition and shall be maintained in good <br /> and safe operating condition. Each vehicle shall be equipped with a two-way radio. <br /> 3. All cab drivers shall be licensed and sha11 meet the requirements of the City codes. <br /> 4. The Cab Company shall govern vehicle staging and routing. <br /> 5. The Cab Company shall provide adequate insurance and shall assume all liability <br /> associated with the provision of its services for the Program. <br /> 6. Cab Company drivers shall assist in the loading and unloading of disabled passengers, <br /> as well as their parcels and personal effects. <br /> 7. The Cab Company shall avoid any undue delay, either at the point of pickup or <br /> enroute, and shall strive to pick up Program patrons within five (5) minutes of the <br /> scheduled time. <br /> - 2 - <br />
