The follo�ving document describes the terms and conditions of ihe grant awarded to The City of Decatur (the City) by the Macon County Solid Waste Management Department(the County). Grant Terms The Macon County Solid Waste Management Department(the Department)with the approval of the Environmental, Education,Health and Welfare(EEHW) Committee of the Macon County Boazd, has �,.grr�u to pro�ide grant fun�to the Ciiy of Becatur to asszst i�the espa►:sion of recy�cling progra.ms coordinated by the City. Eligible expenses under this grant award include: education and promotion for the curbside program, initiation of a multifamily apartment recycling program, and other recycling/waste reduction activities as approved by the Director of the Department. Under this Agreement,grant funds may-be applied to recycling collection containers, accessories to those containers, education/promotional advenising, educaxional materials and supplies and staff time reimbursed up to 40%. Recycled content matenals and supplies will be used whenever possible. Grant funds ma.y be applied to other items with written approval from the Department. Amount of Funding This Agreement is inclusive of the County's Fiscal Years (December 1 -November 30) 1998/1999 and 1999/2000. The EEHW Committee approved a$15,000 up front grant payment for FY 98/99 and $4�,000 for reimbursable expenditures for FY 99/00. Grant Conditions • A report itemizing the category of expenditure and copies of invoices should be submitted witi�in one month of exhausting the FY 98/99 funds for the above stated purposes. • Copies of invoices and the category(s)of expenditures to date for FY 99/00 mav be submitted to the Department for reimbursemer.t upon completion of this agreement. • A brief report and invoices to date should be submitted by June 1, 2000. A final report will be due by November 1, 2000. • Grant renewal requests for FY 2000/2001 should be submitted by Novemi�er 1,2000. • Macon County will not be held liable for any problems or accidents occurrin�with or a.rising from the purchase and/or use of the items purchased for this project under this agreem�nt.
