Anderson Plaza <br /> Decatur, IL 62523-1196 <br /> Re: Amendment No. 2; CAP-97-569-FED <br /> Dear Mr. Collins: <br /> Enclosed are two copies of Amendment No. 2 to Capital Grant Agreement <br /> Contract No. 2493 for the above referenced capital grant that adds $570,000 to <br /> the existing budget for the purchase of two additional heavy-duty buses. <br /> Please execute, but do not date, both copies of the amended Agreement and <br /> return them to the Division of Public Transportation along with the following: <br /> a. An opinion of counsel acceptable to the department, that your City is an <br /> eligible applicant; that it has complied fully with the pertinent requirements <br /> of state and local law; that there is no pending litigation concerning the <br /> authority of your City to enter into this amended Agreement and that this <br /> amended Agreement is legally binding upon your City. <br /> b. A certified copy of the resolution of the governing body of your City <br /> authorizing and approving execution of this amended Agreement. <br /> Upon receipt of the partially executed amended Agreements, we will secure <br /> department execution and return one copy to you.
