Collins ., irector of Community Develo ent, Planning, and Transit Paul McChancy, Ma s Transit Administratorc'„�; RE: Mass Transit Capital Grant Application Amendment - Amendment No. 2 to Capital Grant Agreement No. 2493 The City currently has a grant contract with the Illinois Department of Transportation for the purchase of seven(7) new transit coaches. The State has informed the City that additional State and Federal funds have been made available to Decatur to purchase two (2) additional coaches. The two additional coaches are budgeted at $285,000 each, for a total of$570,000 in additional funding. The coaches would be purchased using $114,000 in State funds (20%) and $456,000 in Federal funds (80%). The attached resolution authorizes the City to execute and file the second amendment to Mass Transit Capital Grant Agreement No. 2493 (Project No. CAP-97-569-FED)to amend the scope and funding to add two (2) additional coaches and to add $570,000 in State and Federal funds. The new coaches will replace two 1983 model transit coaches.
