 . ,.

company wanting to get a start in doing work for the City. The submitted bid was
prepared anticipating what its expected competition would be bidding and to ensure
Karnic's chance of being the low bidder. Being a new company its work experience is
relatively limited, but it has done commercial concrete flat work comparable to the work
required for this project.
It is recommended by staff that the City Council approve the attached resolution
awarding the contract for the CDBG Sidewalk Curb Ramps for ADA, City Project 9927,
to Karnic Construction, as the lowest responsive, responsible bidder in the amount of
their bid price of$47,955.65 and that the Mayor be authorized to execute the contract.
City staff will be available to answer questions that the Council may have at the
meeting.
attach: 4
cc: Phillip R. Wilhelm, Municipal Services Manager
Amina Everett, Neighborhood Renewal Administrator
Karnic Construction, Inc.
Bodine Services, Inc.
Christy-Foltz, Inc.
CP 9927
