AGREEMENT <br /> ��� �, J�Q�2.1�.��U <br /> This Agreement, entered into this day of , 1999, by and <br /> between the County of Macon, State of Illinois, hereinafter alled "County" and the City <br /> of Decatur, in Macon County, of the State of Illinois, hereinafter called "City". <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> WHEREAS, the above parties, in order to facilitate the free flow of traffic and <br /> insure the safety of the motoring public are desirous of improving the traffic signals at <br /> the intersection of Maryland Street and Lost Bridge Road; <br /> WHEREAS, the intersection is the jurisdiction of the City and County; <br /> WHEREAS, the intersection is within the corporate limits of the City; <br /> WHEREAS, the improvements to the traffic signals at the intersection shall <br /> consist of installing new traffic signals which shall include detector loops, posts, mast <br /> arms, signal heads, underground conduit, wiring, and all other work necessary to <br /> complete the improvement in accordance with the approved plans and specifications; <br /> and, <br /> WHEREAS, the County and City are desirous of said improvement to the <br /> intersection which will be of immediate benefit to both County and City residents and <br /> permanent in nature. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants contained herein, <br /> the parties hereto agree as follows: <br /> 1. The City agrees to make the surveys, obtain all necessary rights of way, <br /> prepare plans and specifications, receive bids and award the contract, furnish <br /> engineering inspection during construction and cause the improvement to be built in <br /> accordance with the plans, specifications and contract. <br /> 2. The City agrees to pay all rights of way, construction and engineering costs, <br /> subject to reimbursement by the County as hereinafter stipulated. <br />
