E., Traffic Engineer�y�'�G,�l � <br /> SUBJECT: Agreement With Macon County Covering the <br /> Proposed Installation of Traffic Signals at the <br /> Intersection of Maryland/Lost Bridge Road <br /> An item on the agenda for the September 7, 1999, City Council meeting is an Agreement <br /> between the City of Decatur and the County of Macon covering the proposed reconstruction of <br /> traffic signals at the intersection of Maryland/Lost Bridge Road. <br /> This Agreement provides for the City and the County to split the construction costs for this <br />, intersection 25% and 75% respectively. The cost split was determined by the jurisdiction of the <br />, approach legs at the intersection. The City controls the Maryland Street approach, with the <br /> County havmg �urisdiction over the remammg approaches. The construction work will be <br /> completed under City Project 9909. The City will continue to maintain and operate the traffic <br /> signals, including all electricity costs. <br /> The Macon County Board approved this agreement on March 11, 1999, under Resolution <br /> H-886-3-99, which is attached. <br /> Staff will be present to answer any questions the Council may have. <br /> attach: 3 <br />
