Anderson Plaza <br /> Decatur, IL 62525 <br /> Re: Letter of Understanding between City of <br /> Decatur and Decatur Civic Center <br /> Authority concerning maintenance and <br /> repair of the Civic Center facility <br /> Dear Jim: <br /> As you are aware, the Board of the Decatur <br /> Civic Center Authority commissioned Architectural <br /> Expressions, LLP, Architects and Engineers, <br /> Decatur, Illinois (��AE" ) , to inspect the facility <br /> of the Authority located at #1 Gary K. Anderson <br /> Plaza to determine what maintenance and repair, if <br /> any, was needed for the physical upkeep of the <br /> facility. A Survey was made by AE and, as a result <br /> thereof, a written report dated March 3, 1999, was <br /> delivered to the Authority. You have previously <br /> been furnished with a copy of such Survey. <br />� Enclosed with this letter is a copy of the <br /> Recommendations of AE for Repair and Maintenance <br /> (pages 19-20 of Survey) and a Statement of Probable <br /> Construction Costs (Appendix A of Survey} . <br /> The Statement of Probable Construction Costs <br /> contains the Architect' s estimated amount of money <br /> required to perform the various items of <br /> maintenance and repair along with the Architect' s <br /> fees. <br /> The Decatur City Council, at a study session <br /> on May 24, 1998, which you and I attended, <br /> indicated that it desired to have the performance <br /> P.O.
