' • Page 2 <br /> . <br /> The amount in the resolution consists of the City's planned street maintenance ($2,050,000), <br /> traffic signal maintenance ($298,600) and miscellaneous traffic signal modifications ($15,000). <br /> In addition to the City's planned expenditures, the amount includes $300,000 that Macon County <br /> has informed staff it intends to spend for street overlay work on its streets using the City's <br /> contractor. <br /> The preparation of the estimate and the approval of the resolution is an administrative <br /> process required by State statute for the City to obtain use of its allocated MFT funds. <br /> It is recommended by staff that the City Council approve the attached "Resolution for <br /> Maintenance of Streets and Highways By Municipality Under the Illinois Highway Code" <br /> appropriating $2,663,600.00 of the City's Motor Fuel Tax funds for the purpose of maintaining <br /> City streets and that the Mayor be authorized to sign said resolution. <br /> City staff will be in attendance at the City Council meeting to answer questions that Council <br /> members may have. <br /> attach: 1 <br /> cc: William Ratekin, Asst.
