. , � . � • ' The parties wish to amend said Agreement with the City,hereby providing to the Employee an additional ten(10)days of paid vacation for the calendar year of 1999,which paid vacation must be taken or lost. The Employee shall not be entitled to compensation or pay for any unused days of the vacation benefit provided herein,nor shall he be entitled to carry over any portion thereof to any other calendar year. 2. In addition to the salary and benefits described within the Agreement presently existing between the parties hereto,the City hereby grants and provides to the Employee an increase in annual salary of Five Thousand Dollars($5,000.00),which increase shall be deemed retroactive to September 1, 1998, but may be remitted to the Employee in additions to his regular receipts of salary subsequent to the effective date hereof. 3. All other terms,provisions and conditions of the prior Agreement entered into by and between the parties hereto, as such may have been amended prior to the effective date hereof, shall remain in full force and effect 4. This Addendum shall become effective only upon appropriate action of the City Council of the City, following which an authorized officer or agent of the City shall execute this Addendum and place the date of execution within the initial paragraph hereof rendering this Addendum effective. Prior to such execution, this Addendum shall be of no force or effect whatsoever.
