The backgound information and knowledge possessed by BWC is considered by <br /> staff to provide valuable benefits to the successful, timely completion of this project. For this <br /> reason, staff contacted BWC directly rather than solicit proposals from several firms and asked if <br /> BWC would submit a proposal for this design project. <br /> BWC was agreeable to providing the engineering services. Staff has negotiated an <br /> agreement for engineering services with BWC to prepare the project plans and specifications. A <br /> copy of the agreement is attached. The time frame to complete the design is approximately four <br /> and one-haif months. The fee to complete the design is estimated to be a mu�imum of$27,500. <br /> Funding for this contract will be from the City's General Capital Improvement Fund. <br /> It is recommended by staff that the City Council approve the attached resolution <br /> approving the award of a professional services contract to Blank, Wesselink, Cook & Associates, <br /> Inc., for the Drainage Area 30 - Albany/Fulton Storm Sewer Outfall, City Project Number 9627, <br /> in an amount not to exceed $27,500 and that the Mayor be authorized to execute the agreement. <br /> City staff will be available to answer questions that the Council may have at the meeting. <br /> attch: 3 <br /> cc: Phillip R.
