R98-157 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ASSIGNMENT <br /> OF RECYCLING CONTRACT <br /> Whereas, the City of Decatur currently has a contract with Recycle Unlimited, Inc. <br /> ("Recycle") (formerly known as Waste Recycling, Inc.) for the collection and recycling of certain <br /> materials from the households of the City, said contract being dated August 15, 1994 and <br /> approved by Resolution No. R94-118 ("Contract"); and, <br /> Whereas, Recycle wishes to assign said Contract to American Disposal Services, Inc. <br /> ("American"); and, <br /> Whereas, any assignment of said Contract requires the consent of the City, and the <br /> Council agrees that such consent should be given. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the assignment of the Contract from Recycle to American, as described <br /> herein,be, and the same is hereby, approved. <br /> Section 2. That the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized and <br /> directed to sign and attest such documents and other instruments as are necessary and desirable to <br /> effect the provisions hereof, and to protect the interests of the City and the public, as approved by <br /> the Corporation Counsel. <br /> PRESENTED�ND ADOPTED this 16th day of November, 1998. <br /> / <br /> ��_______.__—� <br /> TERRY M.
