Collins, Community Developme irector�� <br /> Sheri Adams, Solid Waste Coordinator � <br /> RE: Recycling Contract <br /> In 1994, an Agreement(R94-118)was entered into between the City of Decatur and Recycle <br /> Unlimited, Inc. (formerly known as Waste Recycling Inc.)for providing recycling services within <br /> the City of Decatur. The Agreement was for one year with the option of extending the <br /> Agreement four times for a period of one year for each e�rtension. The Agreement will expire on <br /> September 30, 1999. <br /> On October 19, 1998, Recycle Unlimited notified the City of Decatur that it is pursuing the sale of <br /> all of its operating assets to American Disposal Services, Inc. contingent upon the City of Decatur <br /> approving the assignment of the recycling Agreement. Refer to the attached letter from Recycle <br /> Unlimited, Inc. In accordance with Section XIV Paragraph 14.4 of the Agreement between the <br /> City of Decatur and Recycle Unlimited, Inc., the City of Decatur is requesting that the recycling <br /> Agreement be assigned from Recycle Unlimited, Inc. to American Disposal Services, Inc. for the <br /> remainder of the Agreement. <br /> Staff will be available to answer questions. <br />
