R 98-127 <br /> RESOLUTION REGARDING AGREEMENT <br /> WITH STATE OF ILLINOIS, COUNTY OF MACON <br /> AND CITY OF DECATUR FOR TRAFFIC <br /> SIGNAL MODERNIZATION AT <br /> 27TH STREET AND ILLINOIS ROUTE 48 <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur has entered into an Agreement with the State of Illinois <br /> for the proposed modernization of traffic signals located at the intersection of Illinois Route 48 <br /> and 27th Street; and, <br /> WHEREAS, in compliance with the aforementioned Agreement, it is necessary for the <br /> City to appropriate sufficient funds to pay its share of the cost of said improvement. <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> > > <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That there is hereby appropriated the sum not to exceed One Thousand Two <br /> Hundred Seven Dollars ($1,207.00) to pay for the city's share of the cost of this improvement as <br /> provided in the Agreement. <br /> Section 2. That upon award of the contract for this improvement, the City will pay the <br /> State of Illinois Department of Transportation in a lump sum from any funds allotted to the City, <br /> an amount equal to 95% of its obligation incurred under this Agreement, and will pay to the said <br /> Department the remainder of the obligation (including any non-participating costs of FAP <br /> projects) in a lump sum,upon completion of the project based upon final costs. <br /> Section 3. That the City agrees to pass a supplemental resolution to provide necessary <br /> fiznds for its share c,f the cost of this improvement if the amount appropriated herein proves to be <br /> insufficient to cover said cost. <br /> PRESENTED and ADOPTED this Sth day of October, 1998. <br /> ___ . r— <br /> TERRY M.
