i _ <br /> ; . <br /> , _, . . <br /> � <br /> ; <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 227 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING INTERGOVERNMENTAL COOPERATION <br /> BETWEEN AUTHORITY AND CITY OF DECATUR FOR <br /> PAYMENT OF COSTS AND EXPENSES IN CONNECTION WITH <br /> THE PLACEMENT OF HEATING, VENTILATING AND AIR CONDITIONING <br /> SYSTEM IN MAIN FACILITY AND OFFICE BUILDING OF AUTHORITY <br /> WHEREAS, the Decatur Metropolitan Exposition, Auditorium and <br /> Office Building Authority ( "Authority" ) , a unit of local <br /> government, Decatur, Illinois, has entered into a Construction <br /> Contract with Landis & Staefa, Inc. , dated August 19, 1998, for the <br /> replacement of the present Heating, Ventilating and Air <br /> Conditioning Control System with an automated computer system in <br /> the main facility and office building of the Authority ( "project" ) ; <br /> and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur, Illinois, a municipal <br /> corporation ( "City" ) and the Authority on November 24, 1980, <br /> entered into an Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement providing <br /> for the occupancy of certain office space by the City in the main <br /> � facility of the Authority ( "Occupancy Agreement" ) ; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Occupancy Agreement provided that the City and <br /> Authority would share various costs and expenses concerned with the <br /> repair, maintenance and replacement of equipment in the main <br /> facility ( "expenses" ) ; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City agreed in the Occupancy Agreement to pay <br /> 41 .4� and the Authority would pay 58 . 6� of such expenses; and, <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 10 of Article VII of the 1970 <br /> -1- <br /> r.�: . �...__.... . . _. _. <br />
