Newell, P.E., Trat'fic Engineer�'��� <br /> SUBJECT: Grand Avenue Traffic Signal Interconnect <br /> City Project 9810 <br /> An item on the a�enda for the August 17, 1998, City Council meeting is the acceptance of <br /> bids and award of a contract to install a fiber optic traffic signal interconnect on Grand Avenue <br /> from Main Street to Route 48. <br /> This improvement will enhance the ability of the City to operate its traf�ic signal system in <br /> a safe and efficient manner. Interconnect systems allow remote monitoring of the interconnected <br /> traf�c signals that will improve reliability, efficiency and maintenance. <br /> The project plans and specifications were prepared by the Traffic Engineer. The project <br /> was advertised and bids were opened on July 28, 1998.
