CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> MONDAY,JANUARY 20. 1998 <br /> The City Council of the City of Decatur, Illinois met in Closed, Executive Session in the <br /> City Council Conference Room. Mayor Terry M. Howley presided, together with him being <br /> Councilmen Nick Burton, Michael T. Carrigan, Larry W. Foster, Lou Ann Jacobs, William <br /> Mitchell, and Betsy Stockard. All seven members were present. Mayor Howley declazed a <br /> quorum present. <br /> The only item of business was a discussion regarding the employment and compensation <br /> of the City Manager. Mayor Howley and City Council members discussed the current <br /> employment and compensation package of the City Manager and discussed an appropriate salary <br /> package since his anniversary date of September, 1996. No formal action was taken. <br /> Councilwoman Jacobs moved the meeting be reopened to the public; seconded by <br /> Councilman Carrigan, and on call of the roll, Councilmen Burton, Carrigan, Foster, Jacobs, <br /> Mitchell, Stockard, and Mayor Howley voted aye.
