AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES <br /> FOR THE <br /> CITY OF DECATUR <br /> NORTH WATER TREATMENT PLANT <br /> FILTER MEDIA REPLACEMENT - <br /> THIS A EMENT, made and entered into this S� day of �u-N� , 1998 by and <br /> between t e CITY OF DECATLTR, II,LINOIS, hereinafter referred to as the "CIT'Y" and <br /> BAINB GE, GEE, MILANSHI & ASSOCIATES, INC., 1670 South Taylorville Road, <br /> Decatur, ois 62521, hereinafter referred to as the"ENGINEER", covers professional engineering <br /> services ' connection with the preparation of plans, specifications, bid assistance, construction <br /> guidance d resident inspection of the improvements hereinafter referred to as the"PROJECT". <br /> Said PRO CT has been designated CTI'Y PROJECT 9816 and includes installation of new filter <br /> media, un rdrains, rehabilitate surface wash units and inspect siphons and vacuum piping. <br /> THEREF RE, in consideration of these premises and of the mutual covenants herein set forth, <br /> THE EN INEER AGREES: <br /> 1. To erform or be responsible for the performance of the following engineering services: <br /> a. Consult with Water Production Manager and sta.ff to assess and determine the filter <br /> media needs and recommended replacement criteria. <br /> b. Prepare detailed construction drawings, specifications and contract bidding <br /> documents. <br /> c. Submit plans and specifications to the CITY for review and approval. <br /> d. Prepare detailed estimate of construction cost based on final plans and documents. <br /> e. Furnish ten(10) copies ofthe detailed construction drawings. Additional sets shall <br /> be furnished, upon request, at the actual cost of preparing and delivering same. <br /> f. Assist the CITY in receipt of bids and in the tabulation and interpretation of the <br /> Contractor's Proposal. <br /> g. Provide construction guidance and resident inspection services during construction. <br /> Said services are as described in Sections 2 and 3 of THE ENGINEER AGREES. <br /> 2.
