Groundwater <br /> Investigation Proposal <br /> 21 May 1999 <br /> Slu�tests will be performed on seven of the monitorina wells to evaluate the <br /> hydraulic conductivity of the shallow and deep aquifers. This will include five wells <br /> screened in the shallow aquifer(3 north of the unnamed tributary and 2 south of the <br /> unnamed tributary)and two wells screened in the deeper aquifer(one north and one <br /> south of the unnamed tributary). This evaluation will provide information for use in <br /> both the TACO analysis and the remedial design(if necessary). " <br /> Follo�ving receipt of analytical data,ARCADIS Gerajhty& Miller and Montjomery <br /> Watson will meet for a brief evaluation of the data and will perform a comparison of <br /> these resu(ts to Class I and Class II groundwater standards. The two firms will also <br /> collaborate to prepare an area-wide potentiometric surface map. A summary table of <br /> Class I and Class II exceedences will be provided. <br /> Cost Estimate <br /> Table 1 provides the estimated project budget for the ;roundwater investigation, <br /> developed on a time and materials basis. To assist in allocatin�costs amongst the <br /> three sites, field activity costs have been assigned to either the Zesel Settling <br /> La�oon Area or the Decatur Industry&Technology Area. The total cost of$50,394 <br /> includes preparation of the sampling plan, all field activities and projecdfield <br /> manaQement, data evaluation,and coordination/sharing of data between the two <br /> consultinj firms. <br /> Upon authorization,ARCADIS Geraghty& Miller and Vlontaomery Watson will <br /> initiate project activities.
