CHASTAIN&ASSOCIATES, LLP, hereinafter referred to as the <br /> "ENGINEER", covers professional engineering services in connection with the preparation of <br /> plans, specifications, estimates of cost and construction of the proposed improvement known as <br /> the WABASH PARK Project, said improvements designated as City Project <br /> WITNESSETH THAT, in consideration of these premises and of the mutual covenants <br /> herein set forth, <br /> THE ENGINEER AGREES, <br /> 1.) Design Services <br /> A. To perform the following professional services required to vacate and reconstruct <br /> a portion of Waggoner Street north of the old Wabash Hospital. The work <br /> includes: (see Map 1) <br /> 1. Such detailed surveys as are necessary for the preparation of detailed <br /> construction plans. <br /> 2. Prepare concept plans for Waggoner Street and street improvements (i.e. - <br /> lighting, landscaping, etc.) and for the future park. <br /> 3. Coordinate with the City, Decatur Housing Authority, and provide other <br /> public information as necessary. <br /> 4. Coordinate the street work with the other projects to the east in the area. <br /> 5. Prepaze detailed construction drawings and specifications for the <br /> Waggoner Street Improvements. <br /> a. Directing any test borings or sub-surface explorations necessary for <br /> the proper preparation of said detailed Construction Drawings and <br /> Specifications. <br /> b.
