Bean,A ting Community Development Director ��� <br /> Vickie Buckingham,Neighborhood Renewal Administrator;.�� <br /> SUBJECT: 1998/99 CDBG Agency Set Aside Program Subrecipients <br /> During the Study Session of November 10, 1997, staff was asked to obtain additional <br /> information regarding services offered by Illinois Power Company relative to the application by <br /> Decatur Macon County Opportunities Corporation(DMCOC)because of a potential duplication <br /> of service. Staff as well as DMCOC has contacted Illinois Power Company. Attached for City <br /> Council's information is the additional information. <br /> Based on this information, staff is of the opinion that the application of DMCOC is not a <br /> duplication of this service. Furthermore,this program provides a needed service in our <br /> community. After a review of the associated budget, staff recommends full funding of <br /> DMCOC's program in the amount of$25,000. <br /> The attached resolution authorizes award to the agencies recommended by staff and approved by <br /> City Council at the November 10, 1997 study session. <br /> Staff is available to answer any questions you may have. <br /> Attachments <br />
