WEED CUTTING SPECIFICATIONS <br /> Lot to be mowed is to be policed prior to cutting, removing any paper, bottles and cans etc. The <br /> debris is to be disposed of off site at the cost of the contractor. Failure to remove debris from site <br /> will be cause for not approving the mowing of the lot. Weeds and grass are to be cut from <br /> property line to property line plus any prolongation of the lot, to a maximum height of 4". <br /> The contractor shall pick up Weed Work Orders weekly in the Community Development <br /> Department during the duration of the agreement. The properties shall be cut within seven (7) <br /> days of receipt of the Weed Work Order form. If it is found during the course of the agreement, <br /> that the contractor is unable to comply with the seven (7) day time constraint for mowing of the <br /> properties the City reserves the right to then arrange for the next lowest acceptable bidder to be <br /> contracted with, in order to maintain the timely mowing of properties as determined to be in need <br /> by the City. <br /> The successful bidder shall return one co of the Weed Work Order form including 1) the date <br /> PY <br /> the lot was c and 2) the initials of person who did the work to the Neighborhood Services <br /> Division of t r The successful bidder must return a list of lots mowed on a dailv <br /> basis to the o e to expedite liens in a timely manner. This procedure must be <br /> completed pn to t on before the deadline date written on Weed Work Orders. <br />�I <br /> The contractor, prior to the execution of the contract, shall file with the City of Decatur copies of <br /> completed certificates of insurance. The policy shall include the City of Decatur as an additional <br /> insured with the following minimum amounts of coverage: <br /> Bodily Injury Liability - $500,000 each occurrence <br /> Property Damage Liability - $100,000 each occurrence <br /> The contractor shall maintain automobile liability insurance with the minimum amounts of <br /> coverage: <br /> Bodily Injury Liability - $500,000 each occurrence <br /> Property Damage Liability - $100,000 each occurrence <br /> The low bidder must provide the City with certificates of insurance within five (5) days of the <br /> bidding. Failure to provide the certificate will cause the low bidder to lose his right to the <br /> ' contract and the contract will be awarded to the next acceptable low bidder who can provide said <br /> certificate within five (5) days of notification. <br /> Employees of the contractor must be covered by Workers Compensation Insurance. The <br /> contractor will hold the City harmless from all damages in any way arising out of the performance <br /> of the weed cutting specified herein. <br />
