Patrol the traffic conirol signal system on a reguiar basis a�d replace <br /> burned out lamps or damaged sockets as ioay be required. All lamps should <br /> be replaced as frequently as experience proves necessary to prevent undue <br /> failures. The reflector and lens should be cleaned each time a lamp is <br /> re�laced. All replacement lamps shall equal the tirattage and type of the <br /> exis�ing lamp, <br /> 2. Keap signal heads properly adjusted, controTler cabinets sicnal posts, . <br /> a�d controller pedestals �iaht oa their foundations and in alignment. <br /> 3. Ke�p detector e u' <br /> q tpment in proper work;n order. <br /> 9 <br /> 4• Check: the controllers� relays, and detectors at frequent intervals to <br /> ascerTain that they are functioning properly and make ail necessary <br /> i repairs and replacement. . <br /> 5. Keep interior of controlier cabinet in a neat condition at at1 times. <br /> 6. Reraove. clean and overaaul the contro)lers (excep� solid—s�ate), relays� <br /> special auxiliary cootrol equipment, and time ciock once a year or oore <br /> oft�n if �e�essary. When solid—state controllers malfunc�ion� they shall ' <br /> be removed� repaired� and bench checked. Soiid—s�ate controllers shalt ' <br /> � � not be removed for annual maintenance inspections. � . <br /> . 7. Replace burned ouf fuses. � <br /> 8. Ciean reflec�ors, lenses. and lamps once every six (6) months. � <br /> 9. Reptint all signal components exposed to Neatfier on a regular basis. <br /> 10. Repair or replace any and att equipment damaged by any cause knatsoever. <br /> 11. Be resoonsible for make recovery for daa�aae to any part of the <br /> ins�allation or sysiems fran the .party causing the damage. . <br /> 12. Provide alternate traffic conirol �durinq a period of failure or xhen the <br /> co�troller must be disconnected. This may be accaaplished throuah <br /> ins�allation of a spare controller, placing the interseciioa on flash, I <br /> manuaily operating the controller, or manually direc�ing traffic through � <br /> the use of proper authorities. <br /> 13. Provide skilled maintenance personnel Who wi11 be availabie to respond <br /> without delay to emeraency calls. This may be provided by agency forces. ^ <br /> contract, or maintenance agreeme�t.
