Newell,P.E., Trat'fic Engineer � <br /> SUBJECT: Resolution Authorizing a Joint Agreement Covering the Proposed <br /> Installation of Traffic Signals at the Intersection of Baltimore <br /> Avenue and Route 36 <br /> An item on the agenda for the April 21, 1997, City Council meeting is an agreement <br /> between Macon County, the Long Creek Township, the City of Decatur, and the State of Illinois <br /> covering the proposed installation of traffic signals at the intersection of Baltimore Avenue and <br /> Route 36. <br /> All design and construction costs relative to this intersection will be borne by the County, <br /> Township, and State. The City will take over maintenance and operation of the signals, 67% of <br /> which will be reimbursed by the State. The City will cover a11 future electricity costs required to <br /> operate the traffic signals. <br /> Staff will be present to answer any questions the Council may have. <br /> attach: 2 <br />
