(US 51) <br /> Section (SOZ-3)TS-6 � <br /> Macon County <br /> Contract No. 90830 <br /> C-95-045-96 <br /> Agreement No. JN 596029 <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> This agreement, entered into this day of , A.D. 19 <br /> , by and between the STATE OF ILLINOIS, acting by and through its <br /> DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION hereinafter called the STATE, and the City of <br /> Decatur, in Macon County, of the State of Illinois, hereinafter called the CITY. <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> WHEREAS, the STATE in order to facilitate the free flow of traffic and insure safety <br /> � to the motoring public, is desirous of modernizing the traffic signals and loop detectors at two <br /> (2) intersections within the CITY's corporate limits, known as State Section (SOZ-3)TS-6, as <br /> follows: � � <br /> 1. Intersection of Water Street (iJ.S. Route 51/FAP Route 710 Alt.l with Pershin� <br /> Road (�AP Route 3201: Modernizing the existing traff'ic signal system, � <br /> including signal posts, signal heads, mast arms, loops, and by performing all <br /> other work necessary to complete the improvement. <br /> 2. Intersection of Main Street (,U.S. Route 51/FAP Route 710,LWith Pershing Road <br /> (,FAP Route 320�. Modernizing the existing traffic signal system, including <br /> signal posts, signal heads, mast arms, loops, and by performing all ofher work <br /> necessary to complete the improvement. <br /> WHEREAS, the CITY is desirous of said improvement in that same will be of <br /> immediate benefit to the CITY's residents and permanent in nature; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants contained herein, the <br /> parties hereto agree as follows: <br /> 1. The STATE agrees to make the surveys, obtain all necessary rights of way, <br /> prepare plans and specifications, receive bids and award the contract, furnish <br /> engineering inspection during construction and cause the improvement to be <br /> built in accordance with the plans, specifications and contract. <br /> sjt3.aoc <br /> 1 <br />
